Fabulon

Fabulon is West Ashley's center for art and education. This is a place for people of all ages and experience levels to create and appreciate art.

Our mission is to become an integral part of the community: a gathering place and a learning space. We hope that guests feel we are approachable and attainable

Susan is the founder and owner of Fabulon. It has been her life long dream to be part of a welcoming place for creative people to collaborate, market, and support each other's artistic endeavors. Everyone needs a creative outlet and productive vehicles for self expression.  She wants to facilitate the possibility for people of all ages and experience levels to have the opportunity to try something new. Perhaps in the process, recapture something old. Put down the phone and pick up the crayons. Recall the time when you made something that was hung on the refrigerator. No editor, no self deprecating comments, just sheer joy from pulling a thought from the soul and projecting it onto the page.

She is grateful to call the awesome city of Charleston her home and thinks West Ashley is a hidden artistic gem.

Susan has degrees in Interior Design, Art Education, and Curriculum Integration. Her favorite medium is encaustic; the ancient art of painting with beeswax and pigment.

Fabulon comes from a version of fabulous and is a place like Utopia or Shangri-La. Don't you want to be there?
