Explore the ancient art of painting with melted beeswax and paint pigment. This is an intensive workshop open to all experience levels and painting preferences but a basic understanding of elements and principles of art would be beneficial.
Participants will learn techniques and methods of using this exciting medium. We will discuss materials, practice fusing, develop layers, scrape, inlay, incise, and texturize. Collage, transfer, imbedding, glazing, and monotype will be demonstrated and can be experienced in future advanced classes.
There will be an opportunity to create several finished pieces.
All materials will be supplied.
Please wear painting clothes. No opened toed shoes, please. Bring a lunch if attending Saturday’s session.
Should any injuries occur during or as a result of participation in any class or workshop, the registered student agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Fabulon and all employees, instructors and volunteers connected with Fabulon A Center for Art and Education.
